Are you ready for road salt?
Winter is here. The snow will soon be flying and with that, road salt will be occurring.
Did you know that "Salt Eats Cars?"
It's true. Salt mixed with water increases corrosion on vehicles. Especially the on the hard to see areas such as the undercarriage, and wheel wells.. There is a reason that used car dealers make a big deal about advertising vehicles from southern states. Because the vehicles have much less rust on them.
So what can you do to proactively prevent rust on your var/truck/suv?
At this time of year, it is important to wash your vehicle regularly to get the salt off. If you are going through an automatic car wash, opt for the undercarriage wash to get the hard to see areas clean. If you are self-serve washing your car or washing it at home, make sure you spray the underside of your vehicle as best you can to get as much of that corrosive salt away.
Don’t let “salt eat your car!” Protect one of your largest investments; wash your vehicle regularly to keep it protected.
